The eye, in my opinion is the most important part of the human body. It enables us to behold the wonders of Mother Nature, watch over our beloveds and gives us memories, both good and bad. Man’s undying desire to know and explore, coupled with modern technology has enabled us to see what was once a dream.
There are many photographers who have wowed us with their fantastic work over the years. Be it the beautiful Spanish landscapes, the awe inspiring Swiss Alps, the African wild life or the life beneath the gigantic,
but calm oceans; photography has enabled us to marvel at these wonders sitting comfortably in our chairs. Franck Allais is a London based French photographer. He decided to add a touch of humor to his work by creating photographs showing various elements in larger perspectives. It is amazing what can be done with Photoshop these days.
One of the pictures shows two hunters along with their dog, aiming their rifles at…. a dinosaur! Another one shows a small girls being confronted by a gigantic fast food meal. These pictures are bound to make us smile. In another one, Allais shows a hunter loading his rifle in the corn fields, while an enormous white rabbit is looking at him from behind. A toy elephant, first looking at a pile of huge cups and then walking away after smashing a few of them, is another example.
Modern life brings with it its own set of tensions and aggravation. Day in and day out, we face challenges of our fast paced routine. Such humorous projects make us relax a bit and help us soothe our nerves. Franck Allais, with this funny approach, has created laughter, which still is the best medicine.
