Machlev’s work focuses on black ink tattoos, therefore giving him a somewhat restricted domain to excel in. There are many colored tattoo designs seen all around. However, the traditional black ink tattoos still hold their own. Because of their vintage look and color, black ink tattoos are as famous today as they were at the beginning of the tattoo revolution.

Machlev’s tattoos are clean and crystal in design, and many of them include 3D effects. One of his designs is a full sleeve of tattoos, consisting of a beautiful pattern of flowers. Another design is for the upper thigh and rib cage area; where clean and symmetrical lines form straight and inverted towers, linked together by two lines. Some solid 3D block designs are perfect for a muscular forearm.

Machlev has used simplicity in tattoo designing, and using his talents, taken it to a whole new level. Some of his designs consist of just lines; but it is the way these lines are presented that makes the designs look extremely creative and cool. It is not always about complicated images and colors. The creativity of body art can be shown with the simplest of elements. It is the final look that matters. The project, titled “Faces” is a collection of 9 pen work sketches of some of the most known people around the world. This collection includes portraits of Samuel L. Although there are many artists who do sketching, Vince Low’s work is something more than that. With pen work lines with immaculate balance, the artist has managed to give a new attitude to these portraits. The lines bring a certain element of mystery and vintage to the photographs.

Each of Vince Low’s portraits is very detailed and it is amazing how some new lines can give a portrait a whole new look and attitude. The lines give the portraits an old school effect and bring out the artist’s true talents. The best thing about this project is that although highly creative, it is the simplest of ideas in execution; and if you have an eye for abstract art, this is the portrait collection for you. The simpler the art is, the more credibility it has. Without the embellishments of modern technology, and based solely on the drawing talents and creativity of the artist, “Faces” is a really cool project and translates the artist’s potential.

Using Renderfarm, Janicki presents a one and a half minute animated video called “Paper City”. The video starts with unfolding of paper, as it develops into a car. The car starts its journey; and as it moves on, the road is created using animation, as is the city around. As the car moves from one place to another, the city starts to reveal itself via numerous buildings, trees and other architectural structures.

The beauty of the project is that only white and off-white colors are used, giving it a simple, yet elegant look. It is a fascinating little journey that unfolds a whole city around the moving car. Even a train is shown moving on its tracks. The detailing of the buildings is phenomenal. Even the shadows of these simple paper structures are shown and every aesthetic is paid the due and proper attention.

The project looks simple enough to an untrained eye; but actually, there has been a lot of hard work put into it. The buildings, though simply white in colors, are very detailed and wide in variety. This project is a learning curve for budding animators and can be a big help for anyone interested in animation.

After pocketing two more balls on the table, the sequence continues with hundreds of more dominoes entering another room of the house. Tommy Trash has really worked hard in creating this amazing chain reaction. The dominoes then put in perspective a puzzled style portrait of the artist before continuing up the stair case. The amazing thing is that action is created going up from down; which is a very difficult task. Anyway, the chain reaction continues up a kitchen sink, where more dominoes in the form of crisp toasts are added, and the running water from the tapaid yet more dominoes take the action to yet another room.

This amazing sequence by Tommy Trash includes numerous other elements including a toy submarine under water and a suspended paper plan that pushes a bucket of paper parachutes. It all end when several hundreds of more chips through more rooms reveal a perfect Tuna Melt Sandwich.

This is a highly creative and captivating effort by Tommy Trash. I bet you cannot take your eyes of the screen whilst watching the video.

These days, using Photoshop and other softwares to edit and improve photographs is very common. However, Anna and her husband decided to use chalk drawings on a blackboard for background, and various clothes and costumes to add color to the pictures.

The first picture they took, in which the baby boy is merely five days old, was taken by drawing a flying stork in the clouds; giving the impression of it carrying the baby wrapped in a white towel. Another picture shows the baby riding a skateboard uphill, dressed dashingly. The best things about these pictures is that by using the simplest of things like a blackboard and chalk, Anna and her husband have created beautiful, simple, yet highly creative ideas for the background.

One of the most creative pictures of the baby is the one in which the baby is dressed in a prison inmate’s costume; and the background has been drawn representing a prison cell. There are many other pictures in this amazing series; all of which are worth applauding. By taking this creative approach, the parents of the baby have created a memorable photo album; one that will be admired and cherished for a long time. When the baby grows up, he would love these pictures and should always keep them safe as memories of his loving parents.

Knorr has always been fascinated with the Indian culture. She has captured a series of photographs of the interiors of various historical architectural structures. To add an element of uniqueness to her work, Knorr used designing software to incorporate images of various wild life animals in these pictures. The beauty of this work is that every animal added to each image gels in perfectly with the ambience; as if it were actually there during the photography. One image shows a white tiger, sitting on all fours amidst the pillars of a temple. The tiger is perfectly in sync with the white colored interior of the temple. Another picture shows a white crane, standing on one leg in front of a beautiful ancient style concrete window, with strokes of its colors complementing the crane’s brown head.

Karen Knorr has masterfully placed the animals in the pictures. At no point do the images reveal that they have been treated. Another brilliant image shows a king’s throne; only the king of the jungle is resting on it. A peacock is one of nature’s masterpieces. One image by Knorr shows a peacock standing in an aisle painted in a greenish blue color; once again, creating a perfect blend.

Such images are usually meant for a comical gesture. However, Karen Knorr’s work has a touch of elegance and sophistication.

Photographer Jamie Moore is very careful in grooming her daughter Emma. For Emma’s fifth birthday, Moore was looking for an inspirational idea to celebrate it. The idea that she conceived and executed is for all mothers to behold and follow. Instead of dressing Emma as Cinderella etc. Moore dressed her as various real life women who will always be integral parts of history. Moore chose five of the most influential women in history, and based on their portraits, shot a series of portraits each of in which Emma is posing as the woman.

Emma posed in the same way and in the same clothes as Susan B. Anthony, Amelia Earhart, Coco Chanel, Helen Keller and Jane Goodall. It is truly inspiring to see what lengths Moore went to in order to introduce young Emma to some of the leading ladies in history. It is way better than creating a fake ambience including dolls and cartoon characters. Emma must be very curious, as all children are, and must have learned about these women from her mother. At this young age, she is being given a peek at greatness and is surely to be inspired by one or more of these women. This will definitely help a great deal in shaping Emma’s personality. This is how good and responsible parents should groom their children. Instead of force feeding Emma information on extraordinary women, Moore made her dress like them and took her pictures, thus creating a unique and creative way for the child to take interest in real life great women.

Ellen Su and Kyle Moy created a two and a half minute animated video that is more than enough to convey the intended message. Titled “Space Bound”, this video shows an astronaut and his dog stranded in outer space. The Oxygen level is critically low and the astronaut is melancholy foreseeing the fate to come. The beauty of this video is that the astronaut is accompanied by his dog. A dog is the thesaurus name for love and loyalty. No matter what, a dog will always love his master and will never leave his side. As the oxygen level falls further, the dog, unaware of what is to come, playfully urges his master to go for a jumping stroll on numerous meteors scattered around them. The astronaut but takes one step and enters a new world of lights and stars. He forgets his fate and laughs and plays with his best friend.

My friends, I will be honest. This is the first ever animated video that had me speechless. How the video ends, see for yourself. All I can tell you is that life has to end some day, some moment. Till then, it is yours to live. So live happily and cherish each moment with the ones you love. Don’t think how many moments are there in life; just think how much life is there in each moment.

In her series of photographs titled “End Time”, Greenberg A.K.A “The Manipulator” presents various images of children crying as if they have been put through severe trauma. Jill managed to take these pictures by applying a simple formula. She gave each kid a lollipop and then took it away quickly. We all know children love lollipops and it is very natural that on snatching, they would start crying.

Some people say Jill’s method is cruel as children should not suffer even to the slightest degree. My verdict, however, is different. Jill’s project reflects her frustration against the government and the Christian fundamentalism in America. Children are innocence at its best. Everything they do is pure and without anything fake. Their laughs are the most genuine and their tears are the most real. Jill’s use of crying children connotes the pain the system has caused the masses. As people grow older, their portrayal of true emotions becomes marred by fear and other factors. Children are an excellent cliché to show true emotions. I would rather commend Jill Greenberg on her creative thinking and excellent execution of the shoot. On a totally different tangent, crying or laughing; children look beautiful and adorable. All the pictures in this project will make you want to hug these children and wipe their innocent tears.
